The Survival Wire is the brain child of a group of preparedness and survival practitioners. We have varied training and experience. We are blessed to have lived, worked, studied, climbed, skied, snow-shoed, fought, bled and survived a variety of battles and adventures from Mt. Everest to the Sahara, from Ecuadorian jungles to New York City’s urban jungles, from Tierra del Fuego to the Arctic Circle.

We are students of history, languages and wine, as well as teachers of Martial Arts, Firearms and Survival Skills. Our folks are also contrarian investors, meaning we have been investing in foreign real-estate, precious metals, guns and ammunition, food and collectibles for decades.  We love gardening and raising animals for we delight in growth and health. We are not anti-government, we just have much more confidence in you, your family, your neighbors and your churches & synagogues.

With bizarre political machinations occurring at every level of power, with underfunded and overloaded power-grids, water delivery systems, and municipalities unable to handle basic garbage and snow removal, small things like a little unexpected rain and snow can create disasters.

The Goths, the IRS, the Huns, the Cossacks, a Bank failures, a Monetary Collapse, a Pandemic and Viking Raiders are always just over the horizon. It may not happen to “someone else” next time. Start getting prepared TODAY!

The prisons are overcrowded and the illegal alien is on the verge of rampage. We collectively wait for a spark as the French waited for Godot, or maybe, for Robespierre. I don’t hope for riot, earthquake, flood or insurrection; but more and more of the populace seem to think we better be prepared.  With floods, fires, quakes and mudslides constantly occurring, people the unprepared and the oblivious are starting to get nervous.

batteries, water, bread, flashlights, first aid kits and plywood seem to disappear instantaneously. The gas stations run out of gasoline in a heartbeat.

Have you heard about the fragile, just in time, schedule the manufacturers use for delivery of goods to the stores. Sure it saves on inventory costs; but if the trucks and trains stop running for a day or two.. Have you thought about where your food comes from?

There seems to be a great deal of unease in the country today, a great malaise and an absence of joy. Something is not right, and we all know it, even if we don’t admit it to ourselves.

Whatever the political situation, whatever the economic situation, whatever the war footing, if you, your family and your friends start doing a few small things today, you will be ready if, or when, it hits the fan. We truly are a rich and fortunate nation and if we focus on preparing to deal with the challenges ahead, as our ancestors did when they prepared for the great Westward expansion, there is nothing which can defeat us. I believe it. You better start believe it, and then acting on it.

REMEMBER KATRINA! Please, don’t put your family’s safety in the hands of FEMA, 911 or other governmental “authorities.”  It is true, when seconds count, the police are minutes away!”

If you love them, don’t count on FEMA. They will not be there for you in your time of need. There are well meaning, well equipped and well prepared people in the government; but they can’t do what really needs to be done in case of disaster. There are approximately 1million in the armed forces, 1 million federal, State and local law enforcement officers and a smaller number of firefighters and paramedics. There are not enough people to help YOU in case of a mass casualty disaster, and no one is obligated to HELP YOU! Remember Katrina! Start planning to rely upon yourself, your trusted friends and trusted family. Discard the useless.
